Broken BIC Lighter – one minute survival tip

If your BIC-lighter runs out of fuel or you’ve only got a spark, you can still light a fire.

The lean-to is a classic shelter around the world. But is not quite as efficient of a shelter as the TV shows and books would lead us to believe. It offers little in the way of insulation; and merely deflects wind and reflects the heat of a nearby fire. When the fire goes out, the warmth goes too.
Therefore you should know how to light a campfire, even with a broken (empty) BIC- Lighter.
Prerequisite: The lighter still generate sparks, and of course – suitable tinder to catch them.
