Survival Compass and a Sundial in a Match Box!

This is a small match box that contains some useful items. The box contains waterproofed matches, a cardboard gnomon (that’s the part of a sundial that casts the shadow), and a compass in the form of a magnetized sewing needle stuck through a small piece of foam. The sundial must be oriented north to work, which can be done with the aid of the magnetized sewing needle/compass if one has a small amount of water to float it on. Maybe a good idea would be to mark the box with how many degrees off from true north (the magnetic declination) you are going to be in the area you are most likely to need the match box sundial, like your favorite camping, hiking, fishing spot, etc.
