Wilderness Survival Fire Starting with a Fire Steel in a Rainforest – Wilderness Survival

With a failed first attempt, I’m forced to get creative in starting a survival fire in the wet PNW rainforest. With no dry natural tinder to be found, I have to improvise a tinder source if I’m to have any hope of getting a fire started.

I’m pretty confident in my survival fire starting skills but this was a decent test of them. About half way through I’m starting to have doubts as to whether I’m going to get it done without resorting to using the Wetfire Tinder or Trioxane that’s in my pack.
